Pushpesh Pant wurde in Nainital, Nordindien geboren. Er ist Professor an der Jawaharlal Nehru Universität in Neu-Delhi, Foodjournalist und Autor mehrerer Kochbücher in Indien. 20 Jahre lang hat er auf dem Subkontinent authentische Familienrezepte gesammelt, geprüft, getestet und bearbeitet.
