Eric Maurice Fonsenius:
Eric Maurice Fonsenius er født på Langeland i 1946. Som 17-årig
tog han et sabbatår fra sine studier og rejste til øen Mauritius i Det indiske Ocean, hvor han opholdt sig et års tid. Gennem årene er det blevet til flere besøg, og han har i dag et indgående kendskab til forholdene på øen. Han har tillært sig det lokale sprog patois créole og er i øvrigt også gift med en pige fra øen.
